'Awake in the Night' - Isolating/Liberating Survey Responses

During the residency, James Desser posed the questions 'what in your life do you find isolating?' 'what in your life do you find liberating?' via an online survey. This question originated from discussions about the ambiguity of the term Outsider Art, and labelling in general. As a part of the touring exhibition, James has created an interactive installation where visitors can respond this same question by moving his handmade letter pieces into words, thoughts and feelings. These have been documented and summarised in this short film using time lapse.
