New conversations, new works, new exhibitions...

Over the past few months the artists in the project have carried on working together producing more work and film which will be seen at the Whitworth, Manchester and at the Grundy Art Gallery, Blackpool.

After a break the artists met again to catch up and reflect. They revisited the initial conversations they had back at the beginning of the residency in 2018, looking at the questions and statements prompted by the visits The Musgrave Kinley Outsider Art Collection (MKOAC). They also discussed any unfinished or un-evolved ideas from the end of the residency. The artists also came together for a new visit to the MKOAC and a creative writing session.

Ideas from these fresh conversations have evolved into new artworks, which are on display alongside previous pieces. Also on display are ‘choice’ pieces from the MKOAC, that were chosen by the artists to complement and challenge the other works.
